THE Hamad Medical Corporation recently held a training course for the staff of Qatar Islamic Cultural Center (Fanar) on life saving techniques.
The training conducted by the HMC’s Hamad International Training Centre covered the basics of first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, rescue of heart attack victims, use of defibrillators, and rescue methodologies for medical emergencies.
Thirty-two Fanar staff members, led by general manager Mohamed al-Ghamdi, attended the two-day course held as part of HMC’s efforts to boost public awareness of first aid in medical emergencies.
The HITC, launched in 2000, is the first training facility for medical emergency services in the Middle East. Thousands of paramedics and members of the Qatari and GCC community have benefited from the services offered by the centre
